MUSM/ANTH 4403 (5403) - Section 1

Spring Term
Wednesdays 2:30 - 5:30 at Tucker Hall Room 12

The Museum Methods class is offered through the Department of Behavioral Sciences and is taught by the Museum Director Judith Stewart- Abernathy.  The focus of the course is Museum approaches to the care and interpretation of cultural resources (artifacts, heirlooms, oral histories, etc.), interpretive techniques of exhibit and education-outreach materials, and integrating museum interpretation and education into public school and general public programming.  It allows the students to:
    *
Find out how and why museums take care of all that stuff they collect!
    *
Participate in developing materials for Museum education and interpretation for real programs, not just a class exercise!
    *
Spend Wednesday afternoon at the Museum!
